The pig figurines are cast in porcelain using a slip casting technique. In the pictures you can see the molds that I used to cast the little pigs: I have two of them, each with four parts. Before pouring the porcelain inside them, I assemble the four parts and keep them together tightly using some tape.
You can also see the original plastic figurines that I used to make the molds.
First the little pigs are fired to biscuit, and then they are glazed. On my working table, you can see the little pigs are ready for the final firing, next to some other pieces that I use for my jewelry work.
And the last three pictures show the final result. I really like to set them up like an army!
